I met Dick Laughlin in 1974 through drummer Bob Terry. He (evidently desperately) needed some musicians for a production of "Fiddler" at C.T.S. I'm sure I was the truly terrifying, complete unknown of that pit, not Bob. We were immediately made to feel at home by this genius, as long as we didn't step into any musical "holes."
Thus began a long friendship and musical association. I was welcomed into a very large, and occasionally bizarre, circle of extremely talented people, many of whom I fondly remember to this day. He was an incredibly influential person at a very formative point in my life, and I consider myself very fortunate to have experienced a small part of his tremendous energy.
